Minneapolis Saint Paul is home to a variety of temples and churches, serving all Asian religions, and Watt Munisotaram,the largest Cambodian Buddhist temple in the Midwest, is located in a metro-area suburb. 

Family and Child Enrichment
Minnesota is rich with family and advocacy resources. Below are just a few helpful resources for Asian Minnesotans:
  • Loa Family Community of Minnesota, Inc. is a focal point for self-help and support for Minnesota’s Hmong.
  • The Hmong Cultural and Resource Center promotes the personal development of children, youth and adults through cultural education while providing resources that enhance cross-cultural awareness between Hmong and non-Hmong.
  • The Asian Women United of Minnesota is a nonprofit organization committed to ending violence against Asian women and children, empowering Asian women and girls, and building stronger and safer communities. 
  • Association for the Advancement of Hmong Women in Minnesota (AAHWM) recognizes Hmong women's strengths and desires to succeed through providing cross-cultural services, education and advocacy.
  • Council on Asian-Pacific Minnesotans (CAPM) advises the governor and members of the legislature on issues pertaining to Asian Pacific Minnesotans; advocates on issues of importance to the Asian Pacific community; and acts as a broker between the Asian Pacific community and mainstream society.
  • The Asian Americans/Pacific Islanders in Philanthropy (AAPIP) is dedicated to advancing philanthropy and Asian American/Pacific Islander communities.
Career Development
There also are a wide variety of professional organizations geared towards the professional development and success of Asian Minnesotans.
 
The Asian American, the Minnesota Hmong and the Minnesota Korean Chambers of Commerce all have a strong presence in Minnesota. As do the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association and Asian American Journalists Association.
 
The University of Minnesota’s East Asian Library provides extensive research about East Asia, including China, Japan and Korea. The Hmong Business Directory connects the Hmong business community to consumers.
