Events
Minneapolis Saint Paul is a community of millions of things to do. And see. And hear. And taste. We revel in celebrating all that is unique to us.
Rock to music during the annual Basilica Block Party. Stomp your foot to the beat during the Rondo Days drill team competition, celebrating the city's primary African American neighborhood. Dance a gig at the Irish Fair of Minnesota. The nation's longest Fringe Festival attracts hundreds to performances inside and outdoors. The Dragon Festival boat race competition draws crowds to Lake Phalen.
It's a must to partake in the great Minnesota Get Together, the Minnesota State Fair. Paying homage to summer's final days, this fair is a tradition. Culinary delights are served on a stick. Farm animals, seed art and the blue ribbon bake-off make bidding farewell to summer worth it.
Winter, we celebrate that too. The luminary loppet invites cross-country skiers of all levels to "race" at dusk around urban paths. Build an ice sculpture or tour an ice castle while rubbing shoulders with King Boreus and Queen of the Snows at the Winter Carnival, a tradition dating back to 1886.
Our events define us in every way. Truly unique. Undeniably ours.
Because there's so much to do and so many resources in Minneapolis Saint Paul, we're continuing to add information to this section daily. Visit often. If you have your own story or resources to share, please post a comment below. Thanks!
